its going to be a busy summer

some how i went from having barely one job to working 50 some odd hours a week...i dunno...it just happened all at one time. I went from taking care of a glass shop 4 nights a week to becoming a studio assistant for an artist with a giant retrospective show coming up this summer, a production jeweler for another artist, and a saturday employee at a cute little jewelry gallery/store.

I seem to have taken the seattle jewelry scene by storm...whether they were ready for me or not...i'm cutting back my hours at the baby (glassybaby) so that way i can work 40 h0urs a week like a normal person. although i'll probably still get burnt out real fast. I just need to make some money to save, because i'll be away all of august. I'm taking a class at penland (with lola brooks) for 2 weeks (i'm so excited! i don't even have to do work study, i just get to go enjoy in and make). after penland i head to richmond for a few days to visit and see the people who i have been missing (i.e. my friends and family (especially my dog abbey, and my fish thelonious)). Then Tess and I will embark on an epic adventure to maine, where we will be at haystack for a week taking Marc Petrovic's class. It's only a week long, so i have a feeling we are just going to jump right in to the hotshop and experiment. After that we will return to rva where i will fly back to seattle on what looks like labor day. so much!

speaking of tess she might be visiting me soon i sure do hope so. and we also might be visiting nanda and pilchuk soon too.

seattle has been beautiful these past few days. it's making me miss richmond...which is weird, because i'm pretty sure that richmond won't be this beautiful...it will just be hot and sticky (that's what she said!)

it's time for sleep. however, shari made another video in dedication to me :) it makes me smile as i hope it makes you smile too.
